  57. om, numpang tanya lagi nih, mobo VIA ini udah nggak ane pake alias nganggur, nah orang rumah pada pengen pake ini komputer buat belajar adek ane / main games, nah ane minta recomendasi vga card nya dong, soalnya ane sendiri bingung tipe vga agp card yang seperti apa yang bener2 cocok, ditunggu balasannya ya om.

    • OK Om.. Kalau mau dipakai main games, coba lihat dulu System Requirements (Minimum/Recommended) games tersebut, kemudian sesuaikan dengan spesifikasi komputer Om. Saya sudah tidak lagi memakai “mobo” yang Om maksud, tapi saya coba sebutkan beberapa hal yang perlu diingat sebelum membeli VGA Card.

      – Pertama, pilih VGA Card dengan tipe AGP 4x bukan AGP 8x (mobo ini masih menggunakan slot AGP 4x). Alasannya supaya kinerja VGA stabil. VGA Card dengan tipe AGP 8x bisa dipakai pada “mobo” yang memiliki slot AGP 4x, tapi hasilnya tidak memuaskan dan sedikit bermasalah. Hal tersebut pernah saya temui pada beberapa motherboard. Intinya sesuaikan saja VGA Card dengan slot AGP mobo. Tapi semua itu bergantung pada Om sendiri. Untuk lebih jelasnya, coba baca-baca artikel di mesin pencari Google.

      – Kedua, pilih VGA (merk & chipset (ATI/nVIDIA), bebas untuk memilih) dengan Memory & Bus Width yang lebih besar. Contoh: VGA Card dengan memory 128/256/512 MB (128-bit) lebih baik daripada VGA Card dengan memory 256 MB (64-bit). Cek dengan aplikasi seperti GPU-Z, untuk mengetahui berapa Bus Width-nya.

      – Ketiga, pilih VGA Card yang memiliki kipas & heatsink (atau sudah menggunakan heat pipe), bukan heatsink-nya saja (kecuali mau ditambahkan dengan kipas).

      – Keempat, Power Supply masih dalam kondisi bagus. Untuk mengetahui gejala-gejala PSU bermasalah, coba lihat di laman ini.

      • Benar benar sekali om, saya lupa bagaimana cara pengkalkulasiannya, Intinya kalau soal spesifik AGP card itu lebih baik yang memiliki bit besar meskipun memory kecil.

        Dan apakah pin pada AGP card nya berpengaruh pada slot yang tersedia di Mobo nya ?. Yang saya tahu ada beberapa pin slot yang memiliki 2 coak dan 1 coak ke dalam (tentunya perbedaan coak tsb tergantung pada besarnya bit AGP card tsb), Apakah tidak berpengaruh pada slot AGP pada Mobo VIA tsb ?
